ISS030-E-078095 (6 Feb. 2012) —- One of the Expedition 30 crew members aboard the International Space Station took this nighttime photograph of much of the eastern (Atlantic) coast of the United States. Large metropolitan areas and other easily recognizable sites from the Virginia/Maryland/Washington, D.C. area spanning almost to Rhode Island are visible in the scene. Boston is just out of frame at right. Long Island and the Greater Metropolitan area of New York City are visible in the lower right quadrant. Large cities in Pennsylvania (Philadelphia and Pittsburgh) are near center. Parts of two Russian vehicles parked at the orbital outpost are seen in left foreground.

Another Earth
This movie was released in January, on Sundance Festival 2011.
It’s a Science Fiction movie, who thinks about the idea:
What will happen if one day, appears another planet exactly the same as the Earth?
What if there exists another you, in that planet?
What if you meet the other you on that planet?
The movie does not tell anything about how this other Earth affects our orbit in a physical way, or if we are going to collide, so don’t expect that. It goes more, to play around with the idea of this second earth.
In conjunction with the Science Fiction part, there is also a story of drama, that involves a lot of feelings.
For sure I am not the best writing reviews, but if you like Science Fiction, it’s definitely a must see. It’s a movie that leaves you with a sweet sense of wonder.

"We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. Remote from universal nature and living by complicated artifice, man in civilization surveys the creatures through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion.

We patronize them for incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err and greatly err.

For the animal shall not be measured by man.

In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete…gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained… living by voices we shall never hear.

They are not brethren.

They are not underlings.

They are other nations… caught with ourselves in the net of life and time… fellow prisioners of the splendor and travail of the Earth”

Henry Beston on his book titled : “The Outermost House
